Nam Tam Phu Eco-Urban Area, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province
The Nam Tam Phu Eco-Urban Area (Phase 1) has a total area of 78,680 hectares, developed by the Joint Venture of 577 Investment Corporation.

The Nam Tam Phu Ecological Urban Area (Phase 1) covers a total area of 78.680 hectares, developed by a joint venture between 577 Investment Joint Stock Company and 533 Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company (with 577 holding a 49% stake). The project is located in Tam Phu Commune, An Phu Ward, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province. The planning boundaries are defined as follows:
* Northwest: Bordering DT 616 road
* North-Northeast: Bordering Phase 2 of the Nam Tam Phu Ecological Urban Area
* Southeast: Bordering Ban Thach River
* Southwest: Bordering Ban Thach River
The formation of the Nam Tam Phu Ecological Urban Area has been approved by the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone Management Board, which agreed on the location and approved the 1/500 detailed construction plan. After its completion, the Nam Tam Phu Ecological Urban Area – Phase 1 will: Serve the resettlement of households displaced by infrastructure and social infrastructure projects in the city; meet the housing needs of people in Tam Ky City and Quang Nam Province; establish natural green spaces; contribute to improving people’s lives through economic transformation; create many new jobs; and provide impetus for rapid development of the entire northeastern area of Tam Ky city towards the Ban Thach River and the East Sea. Simultaneously, it will connect the technical infrastructure of related planning projects within the current Tam Ky city and the future Nam Tam Phu Ecological Urban Area.

Project progress
- The planning (scale 1/2000) for the Nam Tam Phu Ecological Urban Area was approved by Decision No. 179/QD-KTM dated November 11, 2008, of the Management Board of Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.
- The detailed construction plan at a scale of 1/500 was approved by Decision No. 226/QD-KTM dated December 31, 2008, of the Management Board of Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.
- The 1/500 scale planning approval is currently being adjusted, and the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee agreed in principle to the planning adjustment on March 19, 2013.
- There is a plan to reclaim land for the project and to pay compensation for relocation.
- Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2016.
